    Good Riddance

    Thursday, November 12, 2009, 08:48 PM [General]

Didn't work on my essay papers last Sunday; it was time for "The Amazing Race". I looked forward to seeing Dubai and if my least favorite team - Lance and Keri - would be eliminated.

Dubai is a cool metropolis to visit; all those essay papers that is written about its being THE city of the future seems true at all. Those shiny, tall buildings. That massive ski resort. Those expensive vehicles that the contestants drove on. The people there seems to be living on a land of gold.

Like any other reality shows, I watch "The Amazing Race" because of the contestants. Never like Lance and Keri. Especially Lance. Too much hot air, but never used his head especially when it mattered most. I was amused at how he vented his frustrations. And their being direction-challenged - it reached a low LOW in Dubai; I was surprised at how lost they were in a parking garage.

I bet that Lance and Keri wouldn't make it back to the US, so I expected Lance to experience a massive emotional meltdown once Phil told him and his fiancée that they were eliminated. But I was a bit disappointed that they didn't; they rather handled their loss well.

Maybe something intriguing would happen to the remaining teams in Europe. I look forward to that.
